Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer III
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Seymour IN USA 47274
Shift Timing: 7AM - 3:30PM or 8AM -4:30PM
Must Have skills and experiences:
Strong Technical understanding of equipment spares / parts diagrams / bill of materials
Preference for experience using Maintenance management systems such as Maximo or other maintenance and spares planning software packages.
Strong organizational skills using tools such as Excel project management trackers etc.
Strong communication skills. Must be able to have routine verbal & written conversations with suppliers to understand the technical aspect of spare parts ordering strategies lead times costs etc.
Education: Bachelors degree in an engineering or related field. Or 10 years demonstrated experience in a Maintenance or Manufacturing Engineering position.
Experience: Request 5-7 yrs of experience (degree or 10 yrs relevant experience) in related fields such as Maintenance Manufacturing Assembly or Machining plant manufacturing engineering Indirect Crib management / sourcing / purchasing / material planning. Preference on technical background but someone who has sourcing and technical capabilities could perform well.
Summary:
Research and investigate the design functionality and maintenance of mechanical equipment systems and processes.
Can use engineering drawings and read and interpret blueprints. The technical skills must include the ability to make sketches and engineering drawings and have experience using computer applications related to the engineering field.
Competent understand necessary for machine spares strategies spare parts cataloging Indirect Crib storage & management tools identifying and sourcing materials cross referencing international supplied items with domestic source options etc.
This role will require extensive partnership with Manufacturing Engineering Maintenance and the Indirect Materials Department.
Strong communication skills are required for success to liaison between multiple groups vendors and layers of the organization to establish the MRO process.
Experience in MRO storage systems is beneficial.
Exercises independent judgment with limited direction from supervisor
Basic skills required include:
o Creativity strong verbal and written communication skills analytical and problem-solving ability.
o Team player and detail oriented.
o Ability to make common computations utilize Excel PowerPoint Word network based filesharing and computer-generated reports.
o Previous experience with computer applications and software related to engineering field such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) is beneficial.
Education: Bachelors degree preferred in an engineering field with 5-7 years demonstrated work experience in an industrial/automotive/etc. manufacturing environment or maintenance functions.
