Job Description
Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a renewable energy focused non-profit organization who is seeking an Interim Controllerto join their team on a contract to hire basis. This role offers the flexibility of remote work with occasional travel to our offices in Ft. Pierce FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting for the full life-cycle of loans including loan origination and servicing. Experience with non-profits particularly with federal and state grants is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on responsibility for the day-to-day accounting operations supervision of staff and monthly close.
- Oversee and manage the full life-cycle of loan accounting ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Collaborate with the finance team to enhance financial processes and reporting.
- Support the management of federal and state grants if applicable.
- Ensure financial operations align with our mission and goals.
- Prepare financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in accounting for the full life-cycle of loans.
- Experience with non-profits and managing federal and state grants is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Ft. Pierce FL.
