Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Geographic Information Systems Consultant at Urban GIS. The Consultant will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as data management analysis and working with geospatial data. The role is in Greensburg PA with flexibility for some remote work.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Records Document Controller to join our team. The Records Document Controller will play a crucial role in managing organizing and maintaining all business-related documents. This individual will be responsible for tasks ranging from scanning and uploading documents to creating templates for company-wide use. The Records Document Controller will provide compliance with laws and regulations while facilitating efficient document retrieval for authorized personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Scan and Upload Documents:
- Utilize document management software to scan and upload paper documents following company procedures and maintaining accuracy.
- Technical Document Management:
- Collect register and organize all technical documents including drawings and blueprints in the companys document management system.
- Document Review and Update:
- Regularly review and update documents to ensure accuracy maintenance and adherence to quality control standards.
- Communication and Information Sharing:
- Keep all personnel informed about new document versions changes and procedures for obtaining document access.
- Cross-Departmental Record Handling:
- Manage records across various departments ensuring seamless accessibility for authorized personnel while maintaining confidentiality.
- Confidentiality Maintenance:
- Uphold strict confidentiality regarding sensitive documents implementing security measures to protect sensitive information.
- Collaboration with Team Members:
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to facilitate document-related processes and resolve any issues or discrepancies.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Participate in the continuous improvement of document management processes and recommend enhancements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in document management software and MS Office Suite.
- Data Management and Analytical Skills
- Data Entry and Clerical Skills
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Geospatial Data
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Bachelors degree in Geography GIS or related field
