Job Description

Job Summary

Under general supervision the Pharmacy Program Manager is responsible for the assessment analysis planning implementation and evaluation of major programs and projects. Acts as a change agent to create and support a positive change process for the Pharmacy team.

Essential Functions

  • Oversees medium to large sized multi-faceted projects varying in complexity and involving cross functional experts and these projects could be system wide.

  • Drives progress of the project including overseeing the assessment analysis planning implementation and evaluation.

  • Manages project plan scope and aids in assessment of resource requirements to achieve desired outcomes and directs re-engineering efforts.

  • Ensures the project achieves the expected business outcomes. Analyzes and documents processes procedures and outcomes to seek continuous improvement.

  • Communicates collaborates networks with and acts as a consultant to key stakeholders/business partners / executive level leadership in order to ensure continuity and coordination of services and appropriate utilization of resources. Acts as a mentor to others.

  • Participates on committees as member consultant and/or chair along with communicating with all levels of the organization.

  • Develops and leads teams which are larger in scope.

  • Acts as a change agent to advance the knowledge and use of project management

  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solution of significant issues and develops recommendation for leadership consideration including all levels of leadership.

  • Provides guidance direction and training to less experienced Project Specialists.

Qualifications

Required

  • Required Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience

  • 5 years of related healthcare experience

  • 3 years of proven project management experience

Preferred

  • Masters Degree in a related field
