Role- Controls Engineer
Salaryper annum (Dependent on experience please advise what youre looking for)
Type- Permanent
Location- Gloucestershire
My engineering client are looking to take on an Electrical Controls Engineer on a permanent basis in the Gloucestershire area.
The Controls Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- Be Degree/ HND/ HNC/ NVQ qualified in Electrical Engineering or similar
- 3 years or more of industry experience working in a similar Electrical Controls role
- Be confident carrying out the design and programming from scratch of control systems in manufacturing environments
- Good knowledge of Siemens or Allen Bradley PLCs
- Experience working with industrial networks such as EtherNET or ProfiNET
- Excellent communication skills
- Flexible to travel as needed as part of the role
The Control Systems Engineer role will involve:
- Programming PLCs in a manufacturing environment
- Some travel will be required both in and out of the UK
- Working closely with panel builders
- Hands on installation and commissioning
- Carrying out fault finding on equipment
- Being involved in project management
- Ensuring company standards are always adhered to
