Job Summary
Under supervision reviews and drafts reinsurance contracts in accordance with regulatory and company requirements. Provides advice and counsel to internal customers concerning all aspects of the Reinsurance function.

- Obtains reinsurance documentation in accordance with statutory timeframes.
- Compares contract clauses to Company standards and state requirements.
- Answers reinsurance contract related questions from Accounting and Claims.
- Compiles written review notes for distribution to counter-party and enforces wording compliance.
- Escalates non-compliant wording to Manager and documents any exceptions to file.
- Creates draft synopsis of reinsurance contract for review by manager.
- Identifies risk transfer triggers to manager for possible review by Actuarial.
- Inputs data to various tracking databases and produces reports.
- Communicates with counter-parties to ensure that reinsurer signatures are received within nine months.
- Maintains orderly and compliant contract files.

Education
Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Business a related field or the equivalent education and/or experience
Experience
2 Years Relevant and progressive professional experience

- Possess and have ability to apply knowledge of principles practices and procedures
- Solid written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on confidentiality tact and diplomacy
- Advanced organizational and analytical skills; demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledgeable of industry changes legal updates and technical developments related to applicable area of the Companys business to proactively respond to changing business environment
- Intermediate proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office package (Excel Access PowerPoint Word)
