Job Description
- Location: Round Rock TX 78665
- Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
- Administer respiratory care procedures (e.g. oxygen therapy aerosol therapy ventilation management intubation).
- Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in emergencies.
- Interpret physician orders and diagnostic tests to determine appropriate therapy.
- Initiate therapy based on approved protocols and clinical judgment.
- Participate in transport services including patient evaluation equipment handling and onboard care.
- Document therapies supplies used and associated billing/charges.
- Maintain compliance with infection control HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Must be physically able to perform duties in aircraft/ambulance environments including lifting/carrying 50 lbs and working in confined spaces.
- Proficient in all respiratory care modalities tools and medications.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Able to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet time-sensitive demands.
- Must pass a functional capacity exam (able to raise 100 lbs).
- Competent in computer systems for data entry and documentation.
- Education: Associates Degree or 2 years of work experience beyond minimum qualification.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required.
- RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) NBRC
- RRT-NPS (Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist) NBRC (upon hire or within 1 year)
- RCP (Respiratory Care Practitioner) Licensed in Texas
- BLS (Basic Life Support) AHA or equivalent
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
