Job Description
- Location: Temple TX 76502
- Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
- Compensation: Based on experience
- Deliver respiratory care including oxygen and aerosol therapies.
- Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in emergencies.
- Collaborate with attending physicians and the healthcare team for treatment planning.
- Ensure all care is delivered with excellence and in compliance with policies.
- Uphold standards for infection control HIPAA and organizational policies.
- Maintain professionalism and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Participate in ongoing skills enhancement and professional development.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve patient care and clinical outcomes.
- Embrace autonomy while maintaining accountability and quality standards.
- Knowledge of respiratory care therapies modalities equipment and medications.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and follow protocols and flowcharts.
- General computer skills (data entry electronic documentation scanning email).
- Commitment to patient safety and continuous quality improvement.
- Education: Associates Degree (or 2 years of experience above minimum requirement)
- Experience: Less than 1 year required (new grads welcome)
- License/Certifications:
- BLS: Basic Life Support-required within 30 days of hire/transfer.
- RCP: Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner Texas.
- RRT: Registered Respiratory Therapist National Board for Respiratory Care.
