Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our pediatric team in Glen Ellyn United States. This full-time position offers a $2000 sign-on bonus and provides an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic child-focused healthcare environment.

  • Assist pediatricians in providing high-quality care to young patients from infants to adolescents
  • Perform routine patient care duties including taking vital signs recording medical histories and preparing patients for examinations
  • Administer vaccinations and medications as directed by the physician
  • Conduct basic laboratory tests and point-of-care testing such as finger sticks and strep screens
  • Maintain a clean and organized examination room environment
  • Provide patient education and support to children and their families
  • Schedule appointments and manage electronic health records
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent care delivery
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay current with pediatric care best practices
  • Assist with various administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in Medical Assisting preferred
  • Two or more years of recent experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician office setting or completion of an accredited Medical Assisting Program
  • Current American Heart Association accredited Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification
  • Completion of phlebotomy class or equivalent experience
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and electronic health record systems
  • Strong typing skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written
  • Ability to assess situations requiring an interpreter and use interpreter services effectively
  • Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (various options accepted) within 1 year from hire date
  • Experience in pediatric care or strong interest in working with children
  • Knowledge of pediatric growth and development
  • Patience and ability to work well with children and their families
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Empathetic and customer-focused approach to patient care
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude
  • Second language proficiency a plus
