Maintenance Machinist

Location

Louisville KY. This position is onsite.

About the Role

We are looking for someone to assist maintenance technicians in the repairs and preventive maintenance of equipment and machines used in a printing operation. Provides maintenance repairs and services throughout the facility that includes a production operation shipping warehouse and offices for HVAC electrical plumbing and general building maintenance

This role reports to the Facilities Manager

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance repairs and system testing on facility equipment including HVAC boilers and air compressors while maintaining detailed records in the CMMS.
  • Operate and maintain machining tools (e.g. drill press grinders) to fabricate modify or repair metal components using precision measurements and welding techniques.
  • Interpret blueprints and apply machine shop theory shop math and layout techniques for fitting and assembling machined parts.
  • Support industrial building maintenance tasks (electrical plumbing HVAC) assist in equipment installations and contribute to safety and training initiatives.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians and provide training support for junior staff as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • High school or GED required; post-secondary vocational training is valued.
  • Strong skills in diagnosing and repairing electronic and electrical systems.
  • Proficient in setting up and operating standard and specialized machinery for metal part fabrication.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication abilities.


Note: A combination of education training and experience may be considered when competency in the role is demonstrated.

Compensation & Hours


Hire Rate: $25.89/hr. After 45 days: $26.89/hr.

7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday

7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday (with every other Friday off)
