Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate Swiss-style lathes to manufacture high-precision components.
Interpret engineering drawings blueprints and technical documentation.
Manually edit and write G and M code programs when needed.
Inspect parts using precision measuring tools to meet exacting specifications.
Work closely with engineers and other team members to optimize machining processes.
Maintain a safe clean and organized work environment.

QualificationsRequired:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or military training preferred.
7 years of machining experience with 35 years specifically in Swiss turning.
Proven experience working with tight tolerances (sub 0.0005 in / 0.0127 mm).
Proficient in manual G/M code programming.
Advanced knowledge of GD&T and part inspection methods.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Preferred:

Experience with CAM software (e.g. Mastercam Esprit NX).
Familiarity with Star Swiss-style machines CMMs and tool grinding.
Background in new product introduction (NPI) environments.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and handle materials up to 35 lbs.
Prolonged standing while operating machines.
