Job Description
WeCare Medical Specialty Group is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Remote Software Engineer to join our technology team. In this role you will be responsible for designing developing testing and maintaining scalable software applications that support our healthcare services and digital infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with our IT clinical and administrative teams to build tools that enhance patient care and internal operations.
Key Responsibilities
Design develop test and maintain software applications tools and systems in a remote work environment.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers clinical personnel and other engineers to define design and ship new features.
Write clean efficient and scalable code using modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g. Python JavaScript TypeScript React etc.).
Develop and integrate APIs and ensure secure data exchange between platforms and systems.
Ensure applications are HIPAA-compliant and follow industry-standard data privacy and security protocols.
Participate in code reviews debugging and troubleshooting to maintain and improve application performance.
Assist in cloud infrastructure management primarily in AWS or Azure environments.
Contribute to technical documentation user guides and training materials.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends tools and technologies relevant to healthcare software development.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
3 years of professional software engineering experience preferably in a healthcare or regulated industry.
Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g. Python JavaScript Go etc.).
Experience with web frameworks such as React Angular or Vue.
Solid understanding of RESTful APIs database management (SQL & NoSQL) and backend services.
Experience working with cloud technologies (AWS Azure or Google Cloud).
Familiarity with version control systems such as Git/GitHub.
Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a remote setting.
Understanding of healthcare data security HIPAA compliance and best practices in handling PHI.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare startup or medical software environment.
Prior experience developing or supporting EMR/EHR systems.
Familiarity with FHIR or HL7 standards.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices.
Experience with containerization tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
