A Day in the Life

The Area Innovation Manager (AIM) is a field-based Medtronic Endoscopy sales position covering the Mid South Region (KS MO AR TN LA MS).The individual will call on Ambulatory Surgical Centers(ASC)physicianoffices and their affiliated headquarters intheir assignedgeographic AIM aligns with internal and external stakeholders to execute and accelerate meaningful outcomes for strategic organizational initiativesandwill serve as a customer facing product theutilizationofMedtronicartificial intelligencethroughthe GI Genius and PillCam Genius platformsby executingmarket development and sales-oriented addition this individual will have ownership of the PillCam capsule endoscopy portfolio in the practice setting. This individual will be expected todevelopsolutions to a broad range of issues at the account levelrequiringa high degree of cross-functional interactions and leadership capability with only high-level guidance.

The ideal home base for this field based role is New Orleans LA Kansas City MO Memphis TN or Little Rock AR.

We are seeking a committed professional to join our team required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid drivers license is essential for this role which also involves 70% amount of travel outside the territory presenting opportunities for broader engagement.

Position Responsibilities

Business Excellence

  • Achieve monthlyquarterlyand annual sales quotas by driving product adoption throughthedelivery ofclinicaland economic value of MedtronicAI and capsule platforms
  • Expertisein artificial intelligence trendsincluding butnot limited to market positioning of GI Genius PillCam and PillCam Geniusand the macroeconomicfactors that influence decision makingin healthcare.
  • Thoroughunderstanding ofthe current and futureAIcompetitive landscape including non-AI technology designed to improvepatient to position Medtronic AI platformsas the market leader.
  • Thorough understanding of the current and future capsule endoscopy competitive landscape and the ability to position Medtronic platforms as the market leader.
  • Have awell-documentedrecord of accomplishmentofsuccessfullytargetingconvertingand installing new GI Genius and PillCam Accountsat ASCs and physician offices
  • Individuals will be expected to collaborate transfer knowledge and best practices with the greater sales force to accelerate adoption of the GI Genius and PillCam platforms along with future platform innovations.
  • Further definesthe direction for new productsprocesses standards or operational plansbasedon business strategy with a significant impact on work group in Medtronic Endoscopy portfolio integration into GI Genius PillCam and PillCam Genius sales processes anddocumentedsales achievement.
  • Represents organization as a primary contact for specific projects and toidentifyandleverageinternal and external customers and vendors at various levels. May negotiate with others to reach understanding or agreement and influence decision-making.
  • Successfullydevelopthesalesand clinicalorganization in theirassignedgeographicterritory bysharingGI Genius PillCam and PillCam Genius productexpertise skill set and sales definedbyfocused productquotaachievement.
  • Develops solutions to complex problems and/or makes significant improvements of processessystemsor products independently to enhance performance of job .
  • Providesolution-oriented strategies tofacilitateproduct adoption and accelerate sales growth.
  • Establish relationships with healthcareexecutives physicians and KOLs in their territory where procedures are performed or influenced.
  • Interact with physicians ASC & clinic executives to close sales and drive ongoingutilizationof our solution-based software technology as cleared by as appropriately regulated
  • Possess anddelivera thorough understanding ofhealthcare economicsspecific tothe customer and delivertargeted messagingtovalidatethe value proposition of Medtronic AI platforms
  • Initiate and leadengagements withinternalcross-functionalleaderstoaccelerateand close the sales process.
  • Significanttravelrequired 70%

Clinical Excellence

  • Understands and delivers the clinical value of Medtronic AI platforms including published evidence disease pathways and ground truth development of algorithms.
  • Provideclinical product demonstrations and education in accounts through individual and group interactions to increase thecustomersunderstanding andproficiency.
  • Demonstrate disease stateexpertisein all areas for which the products are used.
  • Proactively understand and articulate clinical and journal articles in all relevant disease states regardless of study outcome and Medtronic positioning.

Administrative Excellence

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the utility and consistent activity inCRM with the ability to present pipeline and forecasts.
  • Consistentlycompleteadministrative responsibilities suchasexpense reports sales reports and other business requests.
  • Perform all on-linetrainingwithin assigned timelinesdemonstratingproficiency.
  • Awareness and adherence to Medtronic code of conduct policy.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and complete knowledge of company products and services

Nice to Have

  • Enterprise level technical sales with life sciencehealthcareor software(SaaS PaaSSaMD)background strongly preferred
  • Proven consistentrecord of accomplishmentof sales successexceedinglyquarterly and yearly sales quota (Presidents Club or consistent top performer sales accomplishment rankings)
  • Demonstrated clinicaltechnicaland business excellence with GI Genius and/or PillCam.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiencyin O365suite &
  • Ability toestablishand maintain good working relationships with all functional areas
  • Demonstratedbusiness planning and forecastingexcellence
  • Medical device/equipment sales experience.
  • Experience selling to physicians in a procedural setting.
  • Degree with emphasis in Life Sciences Medicine or related technical field.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):129500.00

The base salary range is applicable across the United States excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience certification/education market conditions and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

In addition to Base Salary this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
