Schedule: Hybrid approx. 4 days in-office initially flexible thereafter
Position Overview
Join a mission-driven nonprofit as the Director of Development where you will be responsible for building and leading an in-house development department that supports a diverse range of impactful services. You will focus on sourcing major funding corporate partnerships and organizing creative fundraising events to help advance the organizations vision.
The Ideal Candidate
57 years of successful fundraising or donor relations experience
Charismatic communicator who can build trust and relationships with donors
Creative thinker with the initiative to build a department from the ground up
Strategic with a passion for social impact and the organizations mission
Comfortable representing the organization in meetings pitches and public forums
Key Responsibilities
Create and implement a fundraising strategy aligned with organizational goals
Cultivate and manage donor relationships corporate sponsors and foundations
Organize events and campaigns to drive donor engagement and support
Build infrastructure for tracking reporting and stewarding contributions
Collaborate with leadership to identify funding needs and priorities
Develop messaging that resonates with a broad and diverse donor base
Qualifications and Must-Haves
Proven track record in securing major gifts or funding from diverse sources
Experience managing or building a development department is a plus
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Highly organized analytical and mission-aligned
Able to commute to Seagate and work on-site as needed during onboarding
