As an Assistant Director of Finance you will support the Director of Finance in managing the financial operations of Mar Monte Hotel. This includes overseeing accounting and financial reporting as well as ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will work closely with the Director of Finance to provide accurate financial information manage daily financial operations and you will also play a key role in financial analysis budgeting and forecasting.

SCOPE OF WORK TEAM

  • Reports to Director of Finance
  • Supports the Front Office F&B Sales Housekeeping Engineering

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Financial Management: Assisting in the direction and administration of all financial operations including accounting budgeting forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Accounting Oversight: Managing day-to-day accounting functions including month end close income audit and general ledger management.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing and analyzing financial statements reports and forecasts.
  • Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal controls.
  • Team Leadership Mentor accounting staff as needed.
  • Audits: Facilitating internal and external audits and addressing any findings.
  • Cash Management: Assisting with managing cash balances and forecasting cash needs.
  • Strategic Planning: Assisting with financial planning budgeting and forecasting.
  • Relationship Management: Building and maintaining relationships with various department leaders General Management Hospitality Management and Ownership accounting teams.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Education: A bachelors degree in Finance Accounting or a related field is required
  • Experience: 3-5 years of accounting management experience preferably in the hospitality industry
  • Financial Acumen: Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial management.
  • Leadership/Relationship Management Skills: Ability to lead and motivate cross functionally.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze financial data and identify trends.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and solve financial and operational problems.
