ROLE SUMMARY
The Senior Manager Strategy and Operations CMO is responsible for developing and executing integrated and impactful business operations across the Chief Marketing Office and with US & International Commercial Divisions in support of CMO initiatives. The role requires a high level of networking collaboration and partnership with different areas of the organization so development and execution of capabilities are consistent with broader initiatives across the Commercial organizations. The role is accountable for ensuring thoughtful communication and adoption of CMO initiatives as reported by our Commercial Partners.
The ideal candidate will have strong project and financial management experience and a track record of effective cross-functional partnership. He/she should also have strong communication skills and attention to detail.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Partner with CMO leaders and finance partners to support business performance and financial management for highly complex activities within the organization
Responsible for developing integrated and comprehensive engagement and communication plans to ensure clarity of understanding across all involved stakeholders consistency of messaging across channels and enhancing collaboration as a one-CMO voice
Participate on or lead special projects to seek out and apply learnings for greater efficiency or faster impact and ensuring effective use of resources by maximizing the use of matrixed and function teams
Partner with Global Regional Local SMEs and Leaders across the CMO Digital and the commercial organizations to develop and execute the engagement and communication strategy for CMO initiatives
Embed new initiatives into the organization by creating clear plans that boost the engagement and excitement of colleagues across the organization
Partner with Commercial to obtain feedback on CMO-led initiatives and ways of working; provide feedback to proactively ensure alignment within the business
Responsible for creating engagement and communication plans that highlight the CMO vision key workstreams and roadmap for capabilities/initiatives
Develop strategy in partnership across CMO verticals to ensure continuous and consistent engagement for all CMO with Commercial colleagues
Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers develop and coach others oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Undergraduate degree required; MBA preferred
6 years of pharmaceutical industry or strategic consulting experience
Demonstrated ability to lead change and influence without direct authority
Strong business acumen with ability to translate data into actionable strategic insights
Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and making complex decisions quickly
Strong communication skills including presentations PowerPoint/written and meeting facilitation; ability to mobilize key stakeholders and engage senior leadership
Excellence in driving highly collaborative and productive cross-functional relationships
Demonstrated agility and ability to drive program completion in expedited timeline
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Track record of strong project management financial acumen and stakeholder management; working collaboratively across organizational functions and verticals
Proven experience developing and implementing organizational imperatives through organic influence and followership
Advanced proficiency with PowerPoint Excel
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Some travel may be required
Some flexibility in work hours required to engage Business/Colleagues across the globe
