We are seeking 1 Australian Trade Qualified Maintenance Painter/Tiler to join the BHP Olympic Dam team on a FIFO 14&14 Days Only roster This position is full time permanent as there is ongoing work available. DIDO options for locals to Roxby Downs. This position is joining a large established Camp and Accommodation Maintenance team of approximately 60 Delta Team on a BHP site comprising of 2650 rooms in Village 500 homes in Roxby Downs and another 462 in Minesite. Site includes amenities such as Pools BBQs Gym Squash Room Outdoor area with Courts etc. Flights are from Adelaide Airport approx. 90 mins. Youll have a permanent room and a back to back team member. Ideal candidate is available to begin the recruitment process immediately for a late July/Early August start.

THE POSITION

  • Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor ensuring continuity of essential Building and Engineering services in a complex environment
  • Working in remote Accommodation Villages including Temporary and Permanent Housing Commercial Kitchens Dining Rooms Laundry Office Buildings etc.
  • Prioritising works & meet rectification deadlines
  • Range of tasks including preparing surfaces for painting premixing paints removing fixtures fill nail holes cracks joints
  • Working 12 Hour Days (11 Hours Paid 1 Hour Lunch break)
  • Ensure all the activities are performed in accordance with moral ethical legal standards and maintain best FM practice

THE PERSON

  • Australian Recognised Trade Qualification of Painter/Tiler or similar
  • Current Australian Drivers Licence White Card
  • Police Check within 12 months
  • Well versed in all maintenance process and workplace health and safety regulations
  • Able to Pass a Pre-Employment Medical Including Drug & Alcohol Screening
  • Able to FIFO from Adelaide Airport or DIDO nearby to Roxby Downs
