Specific Responsibilities:

As a part of Rehlkos Mosel WI site EHS team the Senior Environmental Specialist acts as the Sites subject matter expert for all environmental activities. They will have direct responsibility for managing all environmental compliance requirements and provide on-site support for permitting regulatory compliance remediation wastewater treatment air pollution control abatement waste minimization. capital projects etc. This position will report directly to Rehlkos EHS Leader for Wisconsin Operations.

Key responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • Compliance
    • Direct the development and implementation of site-level environmental policies practices management systems and programs to ensure continued compliance. Prepare and review technical reports permit applications modifications calculations and responses to regulatory inspections.
    • Establish appropriate internal environmental controls and drive the continuous improvement of our environmental impacts for air emissions hazardous waste hazardous chemicals and the discharge of treated waste water. Oversee the Mosel sites environmental performance including data collection review compilation verification and analysis.
    • Continually improve the Sites EHS management system including policies and procedures in anticipation of obtaining site-level ISO 14001 and 50001 certifications.
    • Lead environmental audit activities of the Mosel site (and others as requested). Manage current records and data in on-line information systems track performance and produce reports.
    • Identify and partner with 3rd party partners and vendors for compliance work ensuring accurate and timely inspection monitoring testing follow up and reporting as necessary.
    • Directly interface and communicate with government agencies regulatory bodies and community stakeholders related to the Sites waste water and air projects and compliance requirements.
    • Manage all budgetary issues related to environmental spending.
    • Lead the Mosel sites spill response efforts.
  • Sustainability ESG
    • Develop sustainable solutions tactical plans campaigns tools training and leadership expectations to reduce energy consumption carbon emissions waste and water. Utilize dashboards and reports to track progress towards goals respond to customer requests provide external reports and facilitate Operating Reviews.
    • Co-lead the Sites ESG and Employee Engagement committee.

Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in environmental science environmental or civil engineering chemistry EHS etc required.
  • 7-10 years of relevant environmental experience in air water and waste regulatory requirements preferably in manufacturing.
  • Well versed in EHS management systems such as ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate and influence at all levels in the organization.
  • Proven strategic thinker with strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Exceptional organization time management and multi-tasking abilities.


The Salary range for this position is $83300.00-$ specific Salary rate offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience their education and the work location.
