Overview
I am currently supporting a leading Precision engineering organisation responsible to key contributions within the Motor sport and F1 industry with their search for a CNC Machinist with experience with offline CAM programming Heidenhein controls and night shift working.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC milling machines for high-precision component production.
- Program edit and optimize machining processes using Heidenhain controls.
- Work with advanced materials like carbon fiber to create components for industries such as motorsport.
- Perform quality checks to ensure components meet strict specifications and tolerances.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes.
- Use Visi machining CAM software for offline programming.
- Maintain a safe clean and organized work environment adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with expertise in CNC milling and 5-axis machining.
- Proficiency in programming and operating machines using Heidenhain controls.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.
- Experience machining motor sport parts and working with carbon fiber components is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced team-oriented environment.
- CAM Offline programmingis extremely important the preferredprogramming is Visi Vero
Day-to-day
The shift times give the option of either 10 or 12 hour shift Monday to Thursday. Start times are between 16:30pm and 8am
Benefits
- Competitive hourly rate of 17-22 per hour 5 shift allowance
- 20 days annual leave.
- Overtime paid at 1.5x the standard rate.
