Job Description: Student Personal Development Manager - Quality and Student Services
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive student personal development strategy that aligns with the colleges educational goals.
Collaborate with academic and support staff to enhance the quality of student services and personal development initiatives.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of personal development programs and make necessary adjustments based on student feedback and performance data.
Act as a point of contact for students regarding personal development support and services providing guidance and assistance as required.
Facilitate workshops seminars and training sessions aimed at enhancing students personal skills and career readiness.
Maintain relationships with external organizations to promote student engagement opportunities and networking possibilities.
Prepare and present reports on student development activities and outcomes to senior management and stakeholders.
Manage and mentor a team of staff dedicated to student services and personal development ensuring ongoing professional development opportunities for all team members.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in student personal development and service excellence.
Ensure compliance with college policies and relevant legislation regarding student support services.
Essential Qualifications:
A relevant degree in education psychology counseling or a related field.
Strong understanding of student development theories and practices.
Proven ability to develop and implement academic support programs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and leadership capabilities.
Competence in using data analysis to drive improvements and measure the impact of initiatives.
Desired Experience:
Experience working in a higher education environment preferably in student services or personal development roles.
Previous leadership or management experience with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
Experience developing and delivering workshops or training sessions focused on student development.
Familiarity with quality assurance processes in educational settings.
Proven track record of successful collaboration with various stakeholders including students faculty and external partners.
