We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our People Services team (also commonly referred to as HR Shared Services) and support HR operations and technology in a fast-growing mid-sized startup. This role requires a builders mindset problem-solving ability and strong execution skills to manage day-to-day HR operations while partnering with the rest of the People team to drive HR automation operational efficiencies and a seamless employee experience across multiple countries.
This role is part of the Carousell regional People Team with responsibilities covering the markets in which Carousell operates. In this role you will support core HR operational processes across the region and be the subject matter expert on our HRIS (Darwinbox). This role combines hands-on HR operations systems administration and data reporting ideal for someone who loves improving by automating processes working with data and collaborating across borders.
HR Operations
- Execute employee lifecycle operations including onboarding offboarding transfers and documentation across multiple countries.
- Ensure operational processes are compliant with local labor laws and aligned with Carousell policies.
- Collaborate closely with country HR teams Payroll IT and other stakeholders for smooth execution of HR activities.
- Respond to employee queries and provide timely high-quality support.
HRIS Management
- Administer Darwinbox such as manage employee data workflows approvals and access across the region.
- Perform regular audits to maintain data accuracy and system integrity.
- Coordinate with Darwinbox support and internal teams to troubleshoot issues and deploy hancements.
- Provide training and documentation to HR team members and users.
Reporting & Analytic
- Build and maintain HR dashboards and reports (e.g. headcount attrition leave compliance).
- Support the People team and business leaders with data analysis and insights for decision-making.
- Ensure timely and accurate HR reporting for audits and internal reviews.
Qualifications :
- 35 years of experience in HR operations and HRIS with exposure to regional or multi-country HR support.
- Strong hands-on experience in HRIS platforms
- Working knowledge of HR processes and employment practices in these markets: Singapore Malaysia Philippines Indonesia Hong Kong Taiwan India Vietnam
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets with strong data analysis & reporting skills
- Strong attention to detail time management and problem-solving skill
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly tech-savvy passionate about automation and eager to experiment with AI or automation-driven efficiency improvements.
Additional Information :

- Knowledge in Google Data Studio Tableau Power BI or similar analytics tools
- Experience in deploying HR automation using macros/VBA Google App Scripts or GenAI
