The Asheville Manufacturing site is in the Laboratory Products Division within Thermo Fisher Scientific. Our laboratory equipment products are used primarily by pharmaceutical companies for drug discovery and development and by biotechnology companies and universities for life science research to advance the prevention and cure of diseases and enhance quality of life. Our offering consists of equipment accessories and services for sample preparation storage and protection and analysis.
You will provide shipping receiving storage and order fulfillment services for finished goods inventory materials supplies parts and equipment at the assigned facility(s)
Pick pack sort arrange count store and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.
Sustain quality to ensure customers receive correct product and in the time requested.
Receive materials and/or finished goods daily.
Verify the quality type and amount of materials received are correct and that the appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list).
Unpack label and put inventory items into stockroom locations.
Package items for shipment and internal manufacturing lines.
Perform weekly cycle counts and other inventory control initiatives.
Assures compliance with customs export applicable foreign trade/importation laws as well as applicable federal transport regulations.
Attach identifying tags to containers or mark them with identifying information.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects reporting any damage to operators or supervisors.
Identify items that have expiration dates and rotate accordingly.
Perform count on designated parts to be moved and adjusts errors when needed.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
