Job Description

Assist in the day-to-day management of strategic initiatives in the Office of Online Continuing and Professional Education (OCPE). Provide support for the implementation of strategic initiatives. Assist in developing and implementing communication and marketing strategies for programs offered by Online Continuing and Professional Education (OCPE). Assist in developing and implementing special events initiated by Online Continuing and Professional Education. Provide technological support to the Online Continuing and Professional Education team for strategic initiatives and programming.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide project management for strategic initiatives that may include development of timelines; tracking projects by using various technology; monitoring and following up with project timelines; developing status reports on the progress of OCPE initiatives.
  • Develop and implement communication and marketing strategies for strategic OCPE initiatives that may include coordination of OCPE special events. Work with Institutional Marketing on communication and presentation methods and strategies as needed.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of the Learn website as needed.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of special events which align with strategic initiatives/special projects initiated by the Online Continuing and Professional Education units. Act as a liaison to community partners to assist coordination of university resources for special events held on campus or at community locations.
  • Assist with monitoring status of technology initiatives that may include assisting with data collection and report development; assisting with development of metrics for assessing projects; and use of Qualtrics (or other survey software) as needed for gathering data.
  • Participate in University and community committees and organizations as needed.
  • Prepare briefing reports client proposals and memoranda of understanding (MOU) for internal and external clients.

Additional Position Information:

Required qualifications:

  • A relevant Bachelors Degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in project management communications special events and operational support for projects.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to interact with employees students and external constituents at all levels.
  • Strong computer skills to include spreadsheets word processing databases and other computer software.
  • Ability to adapt to changing technology required. Prior project management skills required. Prefer 4 years of experience.
