Job Description
As a member of the site Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team work collaboratively to ensure that compliant EHS programs are developed and implemented within operating departments at the Elkton site.
With management direction integrate EHS programs into daily operations to assure regulatory compliance achieve continuous performance improvement and meet EHS performance objectives. Partners with key stakeholders in manufacturing laboratory and facility support to develop priorities to achieve these goals in alignment with site business priorities. Performs responsibilities and addresses challenges.
Primary Activities
Manages EHS information and compliance using sites EHS management systems including data collection modeling trending tracking and communication of EHS score card metrics. Supports the completion of regulatory submissions to maintain compliance with federal state and local EHS requirements. Provides EHS support for management of change incident investigation risk assessments EHS standards compliance inspections and auditing as assigned. With knowledge of EHS regulations and applicability develops EHS procedures guidelines and training programs as assigned. Provides support to client groups in completing injury/illness analysis training self-assessments and addressing specific EHS concerns as they are raised. Supports implementation of EHS compliance initiatives for operating areas.
Position Qualifications
Education Minimum Requirement:
Bachelors Degree required with preference for Science Engineering Environmental Science or Safety.
Required Experience and Skills:
Experience or learning in the areas of occupational safety environmental compliance process safety.
Self-motivated proactive and can-do attitude with the ability to work independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
Possess critical thinking analytical and logical problem-solving abilities.
Service and result-oriented mindset.
Ability to handle potentially stressful situations with a positive attitude.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Strong systems and IT knowledge including Microsoft applications a plus.
Ability to prioritize focus on and obtain business results.
Flexibility to perform various tasks to support the business.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model
Effective September 5 2023 employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week Monday - Thursday although the specific days may vary by site or organization with Friday designated as a remote-working day unless business critical tasks require an on-site Hybrid work model does not apply to and daily in-person attendance is required for field-based positions; facility-based manufacturing-based or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The salary range for this role is
$70500.00 - $110900.00This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employees position within the salary range will be based on several factors including but not limited to relevant education qualifications certifications experience skills geographic location government requirements and business or organizational needs.
The successful candidate will be eligible for annual bonus and long-term incentive if applicable.
