Position Title: Manager Product Operations (2-Year Contract)

Salary Range: $95000 - $105000

Division: Digital and Innovation

Reports To: Director Product Management

Location: Toronto Yonge & Eglinton (Hybrid Work: 3 days in office)

TVO is committed to an innovation-led future. We develop products and platforms that elevate the Education and Media industries. In our product culture the Manager Product Operations plays a crucial role in developing the organizations product practices beyond Agile maturity with a special focus on achieving seamless operations and strategic alignment across product verticals and the organization.

This management role will be responsible for the success of a team of Scrum Masters responsible for coaching and working directly with the product development teams aimed to digitally transform the organization. Key stakeholders for this position include Senior leaders and TVOs Executive team. The successful candidate will act as an advisor to the Digital & Innovation Division as a whole.

How You Will Make an Impact

Coaching and Management: In this role you will coach and people manager with the responsibility to drive the organization to excellence beyond the agile practice. You will have scale teams foster an environment of continuous improvement inspire and empower your team and cross-functional teams in achieving their business outcomes.

Facilitation and Strategy: Principal facilitator for the Division by making strategic discussions part of our day-to-day operations assessing impact through data and encouraging idea generation across products and verticals.

Process Improvement: You will go beyond agile practices to enhance internal and cross-functional processes liaising with the PMO and other departments to ensure alignment and efficiency.

System Implementation: You will implement and constantly optimize systems and processes in the Digital & Innovation Division. You will play a role in identifying misalignments within the core strategy and developing solutions that empowers teams to deliver their best work across all our digital products.

Release Management: You will build define document and maintain release processes including repeatable processes for critical tasks.

Feedback Loops: Oversee the collaboration with stakeholders to create new process and product feedback loops that improve the Divisions workflows and support the efficient delivery of the expected outcomes.

What You Will Bring to TVO

Management Experience: As the successful candidate you will bring 5 years of management experience in managing and mentoring Agile and/or Product Operations Leaders. You are adept at building relationships fostering a collaborative environment and leading through influence to drive team success and engagement. Experience in facilitating discussions strategic thinking and process improvement.

Data Proficiency: As the successful candidate you will bring strong experience in data analysis for cross-functional operations improvement. You are experienced in leveraging user and user engagement metrics like Google Analytics 4 to drive product improvements and strategic alignment across all teams.

Innovation: You will bring a passion for improving processes and driving operational excellence for our organization. The successful candidate is an expert and coach in Atlassian Tools (Jira Confluence Product Discovery). Your main task will be to lead the implementation and analysis of workflows with the team with the goal to empower cross-functional teams.
