We are hiring: Director of Community Programs - Beta

Job Type

  • Full-Time Exempt

Schedule

  • Standard Hours: 8am-5pm Monday-Friday.

Training

  • Orientation: Alternatives provides thorough orientation and training for all new staff. You can expect a one-week orientation where you will learn all about Alternatives and be prepared for your role. This first week is scheduled from 9 AM to 5 PM at our Alternatives Training Center.

About the Beta Team:

The Director of Community Programs oversees our excellent and dedicated Beta Program team. The Beta Program oversees community-based clients who are in Alternatives services for pre-trial programming misdemeanor offenses SCRAM and alcohol monitoring and other various Beta services as applicable.

The Director of Community Programs supports their team of case managers and administrative staff to best support the outcomes of our programs and clients in conjunction with the courts and community partners.

To be a successful Director of Community Programs you will need the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in social services marketing human services or related field.
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with public relations.
  • Experience in records management.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to type 40 words per minute.
  • Valid drivers license.
  • Ability to pass federal background check and drug testing.

What Will You Do in This Position

The Director of Community Programs works in collaboration with the CEO/COO to create communications messages and collateral for marketing. This position includes public relations. The DCP will coordinate the Beta Jail Alternatives staff by participating in annual evaluations disciplinary performance scheduling leave approvals trainings new hires and terminations in the team concept. The DCP shall be responsible for assisting in the operation of the Jail Alternatives programs in compliance with all Alternatives Inc. operating procedures.

Public Relations skills are pivotal in this role as you will regularly work to Enhance community partnerships and public relations with State P&P DPHHS County Attorney City Attorney City Courts Justice Courts District Courts and Satellite agencies.

PTO

  • Accrual: Start accruing PTO from your first paycheck. Full-time (40-hour) employees with 0-2 years of employment accrue 4.65 hours per pay period totaling 15 days a year.
  • Increased Accrual with Tenure: Accrual rates increase at 3 years 5 years and every subsequent 5-year mark up to 25 years.
  • Pro Rata Basis: Accrual rates for employees working 20-30 hours per week are on a pro rata basis.

  • Part-Time Employees: Employees working a 20 or 30 hour status per week also receive paid holidays on a pro-rate basis.
