Job Description

Join us as a Finance Assistant and make an invaluable contribution to our Food Safety & Biosecurity!

As aFinance Assistant (Accounts Payable) you will report to the Finance Manager and ensure the accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices and payments. Youll help maintain financial integrity and support our mission to protect food the environment and the economy.

We can consider Part Time (min 20 hrs) or Full time (37.5hrs) for this role.

What youll be doing:

  • Manage and maintain theAccounts Payable ledgerat supplier level.
  • Processpurchase invoicesandsupplier paymentsaccurately and on time.
  • Reconcilesupplier statementsand resolve discrepancies.
  • Handlepurchase order queriesand liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls andcash flow forecasting.
  • Provide regular and ad-hocfinancial reports.
  • Supportaudit processesand general finance administration.

What were looking for:

  • Previous experience inAccounts Payableor a similar finance role.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to managehigh-volume transactions.
  • Proficiency inMicrosoft Office especiallyExcel.
  • Experience withERP systems(preferred but not essential).
  • Excellent communication andteamworking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
