Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with new product introduction maintenance and mfg. engineering teams to maintain near 100% uptime across all EOL run test stations while maintaining test standards in line with C-331 test specification
- Team with other Carrier engineering functions and our third-party software provider to develop improvements and enhancements to current test platform with increased efficiency and expanded test coverage as the goal.
- Utilize current test software platform to develop or improve test recipes for all current and new product offerings.
- Test and validate test recipes prior to 1st production introduction or when significant changes are made.
- Provide test hardware/software troubleshooting as necessary in support of test system uptime goals.
- Regularly conduct production unit test performance analysis in support of continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support quality escape investigations through test data analysis.
- Develop system reporting capability suitable for capturing information to support evolving needs for more complex analysis.
- Identify and source test stand hardware when unit test requirements exceed current hardware capability.
- Utilize the Carrier Excellence (CX) operating system to propose and implement changes to existing processes to streamline and improve overall performance while maintaining cost controls creating cost effective use of resources and ensuring quality.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2 years experience with technician level responsibilities associated with sophisticated industrial equipment.
- 1 years experience working with test systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience within a unionized manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with LabView
- Excellent communication skills; candidate must be comfortable providing briefings at all levels of management.
- Strong background with information systems (software/hardware)
- Electrical Engineering background is preferred.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to effectively lead and team with multiple functional groups to reach a common objective.
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner.
- Ability to support operations and maintenance on off-shift hours and weekends to troubleshoot and resolve test system failures that impact production.
- HVAC systems knowledge a plus.
