Head of Global Payroll

As the Head of Global Payroll you will lead end-to-end payroll operations across the Americas EMEA and APJ. This role is accountable for global compliance systems and process optimization and the development of a high-performing team. Working closely with HR Finance Legal and IT the Head of Global Payroll supports business growth and meets regulatory standards across all regions.

What youll do:

Payroll Operations & Compliance

• Oversee accurate and timely payroll processing across all global regions

• Ensure full compliance with local labor laws tax regulations social security and other statutory requirements

• Monitor changes in global payroll regulations and update internal practices as needed

• Manage payroll audits and serve as the point of contact for external auditors and tax authorities

• Ensure equity compensation is processed and reported accurately and in compliance with tax requirements

Systems & Process Optimization

• Lead the implementation optimization and integration of payroll systems and tools to improve efficiency accuracy and data integrity

• Develop and maintain payroll policies procedures and internal controls to ensure consistency and compliance

• Define and track KPIs and SLAs to monitor payroll performance and identify improvement opportunities

Team Leadership & Collaboration

• Manage and develop a team of global payroll professionals providing feedback coaching and performance support

• Mentor team members to strengthen skills and support long-term career growth

• Collaborate with HR Finance Legal and IT to align payroll processes with broader organizational goals

• Advise leadership on payroll-related matters including compliance process improvements and cost management

The Experience you bring:

• 10 years of experience managing global payroll service provider relationships including 3 years in a multi-country payroll leadership role

• Prior experience leading a geographically dispersed payroll team within a global company

• Proven success implementing and scaling payroll systems in a multinational environment

• Strong knowledge of global payroll compliance particularly in the U.S. and EMEA including statutory deductions tax rates and benefits regulations

• Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Deep understanding of HRIS systems and their integration with payroll platforms

• High attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to partner across geographies and functions

• Familiarity with data protection regulations and confidentiality best practices

• Proficiency in G Suite and Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Google Sheets for payroll data analysis and reporting

Boomi is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation for this position in the US ranges between $149000 - $222000 annually applicable bonus. This position is remote-friendly and as such final compensation will be determined by various factors including the candidates knowledge skills experience and geographic location.
