Role Description
1. Cloud Infrastructure Management:
1. Deploy configure and manage OCI resources including compute instances storage networking and databases.
2. Monitor cloud infrastructure performance availability and scalability.
3. Implement and maintain cloud infrastructure best practices and standards.
2. Security and Compliance:
1. Ensure OCI environments are secure by implementing proper access controls encryption and security policies.
2. Monitor and manage security alerts and compliance issues.
3. Regularly review and update security configurations to meet compliance requirements.
4. Well aware about security services like Cloud guard security zone and Vulnerability scanning service.
3. Networking and connectivity:
1. Deploy configure and manage Fast Connect and IPSec VPN service.
2. Good understanding of networking parameters like BGP and routing methodology.
3. Should be able to identify and update rules in security list and NSG.
4. Well aware about connectivity components like DRG and RPC.
4. Storage and Backup:
1. Good understanding of OCI storage services like Block Object and FSS storage.
2. Configure and apply OCI backup policies.
3. Manage perform life cycle management for backups & storage and replication to another region.
5. Identity and Access Management:
1. Good understanding for Users Groups and policy.
2. Well aware about the integration of IAM with external Active directory service.
3. Configure and manage compartments as per required criteria.
4. Good understanding of common and complex policy rules.
6. Automation and Optimization:
1. Develop automation scripts using tools like Terraform Ansible or OCIs native automation tools for provisioning and managing resources.
2. Optimize cloud resource usage and costs by monitoring and adjusting resource allocations.
3. Well aware about OCI FinOps services like Cost Analysis Budgets and cost & usage reports and setting up Quota to compartment.
4. Implement and manage backup disaster recovery and high-availability strategies.
7. Monitoring and Incident Management:
1. Set up monitoring and alerting for OCI resources using tools like OCI Observability & Management Grafana or other third-party tools.
2. Respond to incidents troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve infrastructure problems.
3. Ensure high availability and uptime of OCI services and applications.
8. Collaboration and Support:
1. Work closely with application development IT operations and security teams to support cloud infrastructure needs.
2. Assist in planning and implementing cloud migrations and upgrades.
3. Provide support and guidance to users on OCI best practices and usage.
9. Documentation and Reporting:
1. Maintain up-to-date documentation on cloud infrastructure configurations processes and procedures.
2. Generate regular reports on cloud resource usage performance and security.
3. Document and communicate changes incidents and resolutions to relevant stakeholders.
10. Continuous Improvement:
1. Stay updated with the latest OCI services features and best practices.
2. Evaluate and recommend new cloud technologies and solutions to improve infrastructure performance and security.
3. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
Technical Skills
Nice-to-have skills
1. OCI certifications such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect Associate or Professional.
2. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
3. Familiarity with container orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
4. Strong analytical problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualifications
1. Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
2. At least 3-5 years of experience in cloud administration with specific experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
3. Strong knowledge of OCI services including compute storage networking databases and security.
4. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform Ansible or similar.
5. Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python Bash or PowerShell.
6. Solid understanding of network and security concepts in cloud environments.
7. Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues.
Ability to work in 24x7 rotational shift from Pune office
