Job Title: Coordinator Student Experience

The student experience coordinator plays a vital role in fostering a welcoming and engaging environment for new and continuing students. This position collaborates closely with University departments and stakeholders to design implement and evaluate a variety of First-Year Programs (FYPs) aimed at supporting student transition and success. The coordinator is also responsible for creating and distributing promotional and informational materials tailored to first-year commuter transfer and sophomore students.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Maintains current knowledge of FYPs orientation and mentoring; stays up to date on strategies for fostering student retention and success
- Supports program manager with New Student Orientation (NSO) planning and activities
- Manages the Lindenwood FYP email accounts; serves as primary coordinator for FYP social media platforms including supervision of social media interns as needed
- Evaluates the needs of sophomore students commuter students and transfer students and develops appropriate programming to address those needs
- Works directly with students faculty and staff in the advisement of and programming for the Second Year Experience including Second-Year Council
- Plans Spring NSO with the assistance of the program manager
- Supports the planning and execution needs of International Student Orientation
- Coordinates programming and initiatives that support first generation college students such as LindenFirst; advises First-Gen Collegians
- Cultivates and strengthens communication with and between students alumni faculty and FYP constituents
- Hires trains and oversees assigned student employees; provides student employees with projects and professional development; tracks student employees time
Service Excellence
Communication Teamwork and Collaboration
- Collaborates with student organizations student ambassadors and first-year student representatives
- Consults with Enrollment Management Residential Life Student Financial Services and the Bursars Office along with other faculty and staff to foster first-year students success and campus integration
- Maintains student documentation documents student progress and reports pertinent information to relevant campus colleagues
- Co-develops parent newsletters promotional materials visual aids and other informational materials
- Supports implementation of the NSO program for fall and spring semesters
- Works with faculty and staff in the development and implementation of programming and curriculum specifically tailored to first-year students
- Organizes stakeholder meetings and manages outside-of-classroom excursions/experiences
- Works collaboratively with the program manager to develop and implement programs for first generation students

Required Qualifications An equivalent combination of education training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum of 1 years experience in higher education mentoring and/or advising
- Masters degree preferred
