Production ManagerPosition Overview
Shaw Industries is hiring a Production Manager to manage and direct the production operations for the facility. They will support and lead a team to achieve safety service quality production and cost goals with a vision of continuous improvement towards a world class organization. The Production Manager must be able to inspire and motivate the team both salaried and hourly by fostering a trusting and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:
Assist with planning and coordination of daily priorities for operations and provide direction to Department Managers as needed.
Ensure the facility delivers the desired results in the key operational areas of safety quality service and cost.
Maintain daily contact with departmentmanagers to keep them informed of progress againstproductionschedules manpower performance and processing difficulties while providing direction and technical assistance when needed.
Drive and support a team environment in safety quality cost productivity and efficiency.
Assist in preparation of budgets and standards for cost measurement and manage operations within that budget.
Motivate associates to work in a safe clean and efficient manner.
Drive PX performance and development for Department Managers through one-on-one conversations and goal setting.
Provide direction to departmentmanagers while ensuring compliance with all company plant and departmental guidelines and procedures.
Promote favorable associate relations by assisting associates in resolving anyjob-related problems or concerns including Process Improvement (PI) TMSquality safety equipment diversity and training.
Assign prioritize and follow up on improvement projects within theproductionareas.
Routinely review the performance of departmentmanagers and associates.
Ensure systems are in place to prevent non-conforming material from reaching the finalcustomer.
To develop departmentmanagers for continuous growth within Shaw Industries.
Work with internal departments as well as all other plants/technical resources within Shaw.
Fill in for the Plant Manager as needed.
Requirements:
4-year degree
4 years of management experience are preferably in manufacturing.
Proven ability to improve processes and lead cost reduction initiatives.
Proven ability to lead others effectively and develop organizational talent.
