Job Description
ELEMENTARY MUSIC TEACHER
POSITION POSTING
The Moses Lake School District is seeking applications for 2 Elementary Music Teachers.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Washington State Teacher certification.
- Major in music education or K-12 music endorsement.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the district may find appropriate and acceptable.
DEMONSTRATED ABILITIES:
- To communicate effectively with students parents community and staff.
- Bilingual preferred.
- To have a positive attitude and work cooperatively with others in a team approach to planning a working with site-based decisions and management operations.
- To work effectively with all children with varying academic emotional social and physical needs.
- To work primarily with children in the elementary grades K-5.
- Ability to teach both vocal and instrumental music.
- Have experience with knowledge of skill in and support of shared decision-making.
- Have experience knowledge and skill working with Washington States Educational Reform.
- Ability to support the building academic goals for reading math and writing.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach music at the elementary level with a wide range of student abilities using appropriate activities for all children.
- Be willing to participate actively and cooperatively with others on the staff in the site-based management process.
- Maintain a positive classroom environment conducive to participation and learning.
- Teach both primary and intermediate children.
- Must have excellent attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
