We are seeking an experienced and proactiveInterim Finance Managerto join the team atSt. Pancras London. This is a pivotal leadership position responsible for managing the hotels financial operations ensuring regulatory compliance and supporting strategic decision-making during a transitional period.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day finance function including month-end close budgeting forecasting and financial reporting
- Manage cash flow profit and loss and ensure the integrity of the balance sheet
- Collaborate with department heads to provide financial insights and enhance operational efficiency
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and internal control procedures
- Support the Director of Finance in all aspects of the companys financial systems and operations
- Maintain a robust accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets and improve profitability
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts ensuring all balances are supported by appropriate documentation in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Ensure the accuracy of the profit and loss statement including correct cost allocation and revenue matching
- Conduct annual performance appraisals for direct reports in accordance with SOPs
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of cash flow management and ownership priorities
- Ensure compliance with the management contract and all reporting obligations
- Communicate effectively with property owners and stakeholders
- Analyse financial data and market trends to support business decisions
- Ensure adherence to both standard and local operating procedures (SOPs and LSOPs)
- Oversee internal external and regulatory audit processes
- Review and address audit findings to ensure accuracy and compliance
Candidate Profile:
- Professionally qualified accountant (ACA ACCA CIMA or equivalent)
- Minimum of five years experience in hotel or hospitality finance in management roles
- Strong working knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage a range of stakeholders
- Available to commence employment immediately
