Hourly Instructional Aide Library Support (0.34 FTE)
Tobin Montessori School
Description:
The Tobin Library Assistant Teacher works with the librarian to support the multi-graded classrooms during their library classes. Under the supervision of the Library Media Specialist the Library Assistant Teacher will:
- Supervise students working independently while librarian is teaching smaller groups of students
- Assist students and staff in locating resources and using the library
- Shelve books and other library materials
- Do special tasks as assigned by Library Media Specialist to support student projects
Requirements:
BA degree preferred high-level of organizational and collaboration skills familiarity with automated circulation; experience working with K-5 school children experience in libraries or interest in librarianship as a career highly desirable; experience or interest in Montessori education highly desirable.
Salary:
In accordance with the Less-than Six-Hour Aide salary schedule
