Job Description
Spur is looking for enthusiastic and approachable leaders to fill the positions of substitute Aides for Russellville City Schools. This is for the upcoming 2025/2026 school year. The ideal candidate for the job would enjoy working with students and hold a passion for working with children. Substitutes are expected to be punctual and professional and maintain a professional appearance. Candidates must always act in accordance with the schools rules and procedures. Position schedules will be based on the schools standard schedule. However some districts may offer opportunities outside of the regular school schedule. Extra opportunities are dictated entirely by the district in which they fall and are not guaranteed. Candidates must be able to work on an on-call basis.
The duties and requirements for this position are:
- Assisting in preparation of instructional materials and physical environment
- Assisting in planning and preparation for group and individual activities
- Supervising students as assigned during instructional and non-instructional activities
- Providing individual and group instructional support to reinforce skills
- Providing enrichment and remedial assistance as required
- Assisting with testing and evaluation to determine student progress
- Able to work on an on-call basis
- Participating in activities that will develop positive interaction in the instructional process
- The ability to lift heavy objects up to 40 lbs.
- Performing other miscellaneous duties as assigned requirements
Qualifications
- Must obtain a State of Alabama Background Check ($48.00)

- This position pays $80.00 per day
- Must be available to work 6:30 am - 2:00 pm Monday - Friday when school is in session. (Hours vary per location)
