The New York State Department of Health Office of Primary Care and Health Systems Management Bureau of Emergency Medical Services and Trauma Systems is seeking to fill a Public Relations Manager position in the Albany New York office (875 Central Avenue).

The successful candidate will assist marketing and event planning related to the Bureau of EMS. Duties to include with:
Sourcing event space and coordinating events.
Contracting with hotel properties and conference venues.
Recruiting speakers and vendors and coordinating paperwork on interested parties.
Working with multiple suppliers from negotiations to design to oversight of hall layout and dcor for vendors;
Handling all logistics from pre-planning exhibitor kit creation and onsite services.
Coordination and production of conference brochures announcements and participant registration materials.
Creating marketing campaigns to help increase participants at conference and other initiatives at bureau.
Gathering information and producing annual report(s).

The successful candidate should be dependable highly motivated detail-oriented flexible able to multitask and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment with deadlines and priorities that rapidly change.

Minimum qualifications include:
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office specifically Word Access Outlook and Excel
The ability to work independently
The ability to work on a team and handle multiple shifting priorities
Good organizational skills
Comfort with speaking on the phone
Familiarity working in electronic databases.

Preferred qualifications include:
Familiarity with and knowledge of the EMS system in NYS and prior experience working in a New York State Department of Health environment
Experience with CVENT software
Customer service and issue resolution
Online Learning Management (OLM) systems
Preparing a variety of correspondence including reports.
