Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of individuals on their substance use recovery journey Do you have lived experience with substance use recovery and a heart for helping others find hope and healing If so we want you on our team!

Position Summary:
The Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) will use their lived experience to provide peer-based support services to individuals in various stages of recovery at our Recovery Center in Indiana PA. Working closely with clinical and support teams the CRS offers encouragement connection and practical guidance to help people navigate their recovery goals. Our mission is to create a safe and empowering environment where clients feel respected heard and supported as they build a life of wellness and purpose.

This is a full-time position with varying days and times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a positive role model for individuals in recovery
  • Offer one-on-one peer support and recovery coaching
  • Assist people in developing wellness and recovery plans
  • Facilitate or co-facilitate support groups
  • Help people access community resources and services
  • Document interactions in a timely and professional manner
  • Promote a culture of recovery and hope

Qualifications:

  • Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS) credential in the state of Pennsylvania or be able to obtain CRS certification within one year of hire
  • Lived experience with substance use recovery and a minimum of 18 months of sustained recovery
  • Strong interpersonal communication and advocacy skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • High School diploma or GED
  • A valid drivers license
