VP Fraud & Disputes Operations

About your role:
As the Vice President of Fraud & Disputes at Fiserv you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Fraud & Disputes department. Reporting to the Financial Institutions Group Chief Operations Officer this role entails leading and developing a team of 300 directors managers and associates while collaborating with cross-functional teams such as product and compliance. Your efforts will ensure the formulation and execution of strategies and policies to maintain the integrity of our operations.

What youll do:

  • Set vision and direction through resource allocation decisions for the Fraud & Disputes department.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans and objectives aligning with corporate strategy.
  • Oversee the direction of tactical administrative or operational policies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Engage in the development of corporate methods evaluation criteria and people strategies.
  • Staff and manage performance for a diverse team within the department.
  • Interact with executive management corporate leaders and consultants both internally and externally influencing long-term strategies.
  • Establish maintain and monitor policies procedures and controls across all areas of the operations.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess program effectiveness.
  • Facilitate collaboration across different departments to ensure cohesive initiative integration.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation to enhance operational efficiency.

Experience youll need to have:

  • 12 years of experience in fraud management dispute resolution or related fields.
  • 12 years of experience in developing and implementing strategic fraud prevention programs.
  • 12 years of experience in managing large teams and developing staff.
  • 12 years of experience in negotiation and cross-functional collaboration.
  • 12 years of experience in understanding and navigating compliance and regulatory requirements including RegE RegZ and BSA compliance.
  • 12 years of experience with advanced fraud detection technologies and platforms.
  • 12 years of experience in developing metrics and KPIs for fraud prevention programs.
  • 12 years of equivalent combination of educational background related experience and/or military experience.

Experience that would be great to have:

  • Bachelors degree in finance Business Mathematics or related field
  • Strong knowledge of fraud identity theft account take-over financial crimes and other fraud tactics
  • Experience with chargeback and recovery rate processes
  • Experience with managing partners/outsourcing and strong negotiation skills
  • Experience with regulations and navigating through the audit process
  • Experience with automation/tools/platforms to improve effectiveness and efficiency (e.g. Robotic process automation artificial intelligence work case management solutions APIs)
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft tool suite (Excel Word PowerPoint Visio)
