Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic results-oriented Sales/Business Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing team.
We are looking for a true huntersomeone with a passion for new business development exceptional networking abilities and outstanding sales presentation skills.
The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of experience in software salesideally within the Food and Beverage or Manufacturing sectorsand a strong understanding of Operations Supply Chain and Quality Management processes.
Candidates currently working as a Field Sales Executive Business Development Manager or Sales Manager are encouraged to apply.
This role will focus on acquiring and managing national living in or around the Home Counties (Berkshire Buckinghamshire Essex Hertfordshire Kent Surrey) are preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Generation:Collaborate with Marketing to identify and qualify new business opportunities through research networking and proactive outreach.
- Prospecting:Connect with potential clients via phone email and social media to introduce Softools and uncover their business needs.
- Pipeline Management:Build and manage a healthy pipeline of leads ensuring timely follow-up and consistent movement through the sales funnel.
- Collaboration:Work closely with Sales and Marketing to design and execute targeted campaigns and strategies.
- Product Knowledge:Learn to configure applications on the Softools platform to deliver impactful client demos independently or with support from our expert App Builders.
- End-to-End Sales:Understand client requirements develop tailored proposals and negotiate/close deals.
- Customer Engagement:Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within the Food & Beverage industry.
- National Account Focus:Develop and manage relationships with national customers ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for expansion.
- Reporting:Track and report on sales activities and metrics using CRM tools.
Qualifications
- Experience:2-4 years in software sales ideally with exposure to the Food and Beverage or Manufacturing sectors.
- Industry Knowledge:Familiarity with Operations Supply Chain and Quality Management processes.
- Communication:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Hunter Mentality:Proven track record in new business development networking and delivering compelling sales presentations.
- Proactive Attitude:Self-motivated able to work independently and collaboratively.
- Tech-Savvy:Quick to learn new platforms (like Softools) strong Excel skills interest in AI and comfortable with CRM and sales tools.
- Adaptable:Thrives in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Preferred Background:Currently in a Field Sales Executive Business Development Manager or Sales Manager role.
- Location:Ideally based in or around the Home Counties region (Berkshire Buckinghamshire Essex Hertfordshire Kent Surrey).
