Summary of Job Duties:

This position supports IT Services and the university community through the development testing implementation and maintenance of custom applications integrations and automations. Provides input on the design and set up of cloud hosting storage and development environments. Maintains expertise in a variety of programming languages and frameworks including low code tools. Provides guidance on best practices and helps create scalable strategies. Acts as a resource to campus partners providing guidance for sustainable scalable solutions that other units can implement and maintain. Collaborates with other developers on coding projects code reviews and general knowledge sharing. Works with other IT employees on integration customization and automation to increase the quality of service that our team can provide to campus. Works with security accessibility and user experience experts to make sure applications meet our standards in these areas. Helps create and maintain documentation and training materials and follows standard change service and project management processes.

Regular reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty as is the ability to create and maintain collegial harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with a variety of programming languages

  • At least 2 years of experience with computer programming

  • At least 2 years of experience working in a project and team-oriented environment

  • Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree

  • Higher Education experience

  • Knowledge and experience with PCI DSS standards and payment card processing

  • Experience with the following: ASP Azure (Web Apps App Service DevOps) C# CSS Git HTML Javascript Microsoft Web Forms .NET Framework SQL SQL Server SQL Stored Procedures Visual Basic (6 and .NET) Visual Studio

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation skills with a high degree of energy initiative and organizational ability

  • Demonstrated ability and interest in planning and providing high-quality service delivery and implementing related new technologies

  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualize and articulate IT solutions to peers leadership and others in the campus community

  • Demonstrated success working in and supporting a team-oriented approach to providing services troubleshooting issues and skilled in strategic planning

  • Strong character value of teamwork service orientation establishing and maintaining relationships competitive when it comes to problem solving and ability to be calm in the face of pressure situations

  • Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality
