CFSP Statewide RN Manager II OB LTSS I/DDJob Description:
We are partnering with North Carolina DHHS to operationalize a statewide Medicaid Plan designed to support Medicaid-enrolled infants children youth young adults and families served by the child welfare system so that they receive seamless integrated and coordinated health care. Within the Children and Families Specialty Plan (CFSP) and regardless of where a member lives they will have access to the same basic benefits and services including Physical health Behavioral health Pharmacy Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) services long term services and supports Unmet health-related resource needs and Integrated care management. $5000 SIGN ON BONUS
LOCATION: This is a field-based position. You will work virtually from your home when not in the field.
HOURS: Standard business hours Monday through Friday.
TRAVEL: Travel is estimated at 25% within the state with periodic overnight travel.
This field-based role enables associates to primarily operate in the field traveling to client sites or designated locations as their role requires with occasional office attendance for meetings or training. This approach ensures flexibility responsiveness to client needs and direct hands-on engagement.
Responsible for supporting the development implementation and coordination of a comprehensive health care program in which members needs are identified including physical health behavioral health and social services for CFSP Foster Care.
This role will specifically oversee statewide operations for OB I/DD and LTSS ensuring that the diverse needs of our members across these areas are met with excellence and compassion. The candidate will lead a team of approximately 18 Care Managers 6 each in obstetrics (OB) intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and long-term services & supports (LTSS) to foster collaboration with various state agencies and stakeholders to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
Primary duties may include but are not limited to:
Directs and oversees program operations in support of corporate and health plan management.
Directs and collaborates with functional managers to develop and implement the steps necessary to manage program operations.
Participates in cross-functional workgroups created to maintain and develop the program.
Evaluates program operations to improve efficiency of operations financial return customer service and provider engagement.
Develops communicates and monitors program schedule budget and resources plan.
Manages resource utilization to ensure appropriate delivery of care to members and adequate coverage for departmental tasks and job responsibilities.
Hires trains coaches counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports.
Leads initiatives to improve equitable access to care and integrates prevention-focused programming to foster sustainable health outcomes.
For the State of North Carolina in accordance with federal/state law scope of practice regulations or contract the requirements are:
An active and current license as an RN issued by the state of North Carolina.
A minimum of 5 years of experience working with children youth and families served by the child welfare system and/or familiarity with Systems of Care and the State agencies that are involved with their care.
A minimum of 3 years management experience of clinical staff serving the children and youth involved in Foster Care and Social Services.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in overseeing statewide operations in obstetrics (OB) intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and long-term services and supports (LTSS).
Prior experience in agencies or organizations serving children youth and families involved in Department of Social Services and Juvenile Justice with a focus on behavioral health and crisis services continuum.
Prior experience in improving equitable access to care quality of care well-being and sustainable health outcomes through prevention-focused programming.
Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to child welfare and health care services.
Strong strategic planning and problem-solving skills to address complex health program challenges.
