Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital ( RWJUH ) New Brunswick is looking for a dedicated Primary Care Outpatient Faculty Physician at an open rank to join our team within Rutgers-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School The State University of New Jersey. In this position the faculty member will not only participate in the education and training of our medical students but will provide outpatient care in the General Internal Medicine practice and conduct office visits and consultations while ensuring timely completion of charting and billing. In addition to providing clinical care our academic institution in collaboration with Robert Wood Johnson Medical School creates unique opportunities for physicians to engage in clinical and research programs faculty development quality improvement activities and participation in a broad range of teaching initiatives.
Overview
The Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is comprised of approximately 150 paid and more than 300 volunteer faculty members organized into 11 divisions covering the major medical subspecialties: Allergy Immunology and Infectious Diseases; Cardiovascular Diseases and Hypertension; Education; Endocrinology Metabolism and Nutrition; Gastroenterology and Hepatology; General Internal Medicine; Hematology; Medical Oncology; Nephrology; Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine; and Rheumatology. The Departments clinical mission encompasses inpatient and ambulatory care settings at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital (the primary teaching hospital of the medical school) and at various hospital affiliates and ambulatory care sites throughout the region. Our educational mission is focused on development of the next generation of physicians who will become insightful and caring clinicians leaders educators and researchers in the field of medicine.
