Permanent Physician Assistant-Urgent Care Day Shift Location: College Station TX 77845
Shift: Day
Guaranteed Hours: 24 per week
Compensation: Based on experience
Essential Functions: - Perform and document comprehensive or problem-focused physical exams and medical histories.
- Order collect interpret and evaluate lab and diagnostic tests to assess patient health.
- Prescribe medications and treatments according to clinical guidelines considering safety efficacy and cost.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
- Evaluate treatment outcomes and modify care plans accordingly.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions treatments medications and preventive measures.
- Counsel on drug regimens interactions and side effects.
- Maintain detailed medical records of patient care and treatment outcomes.
- Refer patients appropriately when care needs exceed PAs scope of practice.
- Provide specialty consultations and perform procedures within scope and expertise.
- Work flexible hours or additional shifts as needed based on department coverage.

Qualifications: - Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Experience: New graduates welcome (less than 1 year of experience required).
- Licensure:
- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Texas.
- National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
