Job Description

At the heart of Transats strategic plan the incumbent will play a central role in the integration of new airline partners through commercial codeshare and interlining agreements. The incumbent will be responsible for planning coordinating and executing the necessary preparation and certification activities.

In close collaboration with the business teams the incumbent will analyze issues related to GDS transactions improvements to our central reservation system (Radixx Res.) and propose solutions or corrective measures adapted to the current and future needs of the client.

The incumbent will also contribute to the implementation of external sales platforms directly linked to our CRS via NDC API.

Responsibilities

  1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis : Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business and technical requirements. Analyze existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement
  2. Establish and maintain a relationship with companies : Make sure to maintain a healthy relationship with internal and external business partners acting as a key point of contact.
  3. Technical assessment and implementation : Resolve incidents related to Radixx GDS transactions and propose sustainable improvement plans. Oversee or assist in the implementation and integration of new systems or upgrades.
  4. Testing and Quality Assurance : Develop and execute test plans to ensure system functionality and performance. Identify document and resolve system issues and bugs.
  5. Act as an expert in GDS codeshare and line interlining : Serve as the primary point of contact for all matters related to Global Distribution Systems (GDS). Provide expert-level support and guidance on GDS configurations integrations and optimizations. Collaborate with airline partners and internal stakeholders to implement and maintain codeshare and interline connectivity ensuring compliance with industry standards. Provide training and support to internal teams on GDS functionalities intercompany processes and code-sharing processes as required.
  6. Oversee the certification of Interline and code-share agreements : Manage the end-to-end certification process of interline agreements and codeshare in collaboration with partner airlines ensuring compliance with industry standards and operational readiness.
  7. API Integration and Technical Compatibility : Integrate technology solutions through API connections ensuring compatibility with the booking system and alignment with business requirements.
  8. Operational-technical liaison : Act as a key interface between business teams and technical departments (solutions development support) facilitating clear communication and mutual understanding).
  9. Information adaptation and communication : Adapt and communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences promoting understanding collaboration and informed decision-making across departments.
  10. Support and maintenance : Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for existing systems. Monitor system performance and ensure availability and reliability.

 


Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree or university degree in information technology the travel industry or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the airline industry
  • Excellent understanding of distribution systems (CRS GDS NDC Interlining)
  • Proficient in interpreting TTY messages and well-versed in IATA AIRIMP standards and EDIFACT messaging structures with hands-on experience in their practical application
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Ability to assess situations and make decisions based on facts.
  • Strong skills in breaking down complex problems interpreting data and identifying patterns or trends & high attention to detail and accuracy in work
  • Demonstrates a strong analytical mindset meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach coupled with a positive attitude and eagerness to continuously learn and take on new challenges
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both English and French with the primary goal of being clearly understood in both languages. Perfect fluency is not required but sufficient proficiency to operate in a professional context is expected.
  • Knowledge of Radixx or a similar booking system (an asset)
  • Experience with API integrations (an asset)
