Job Description

We are currently seeking a proactive and experienced Team Leader Claims Management to join our expanding team. This pivotal leadership role will see you guiding and supporting a high-performing group of Claims Management Assessors as they deliver large-scale claims review programs that make a real impact. 

This is a 12-month max-term contract with the potential for extension. This role can be located in Melbourne Sydney or Geelong. 

Your Opportunity

As a Team Leader you will play a key role in ensuring the success of our claims management programs through effective leadership quality assurance coaching and workflow management. You will also support onboarding and drive performance outcomes in alignment with project goals and client expectations as well as drafting project updates and communications.  

  • Lead coach and motivate a team of Claims Management Assessors to meet and exceed performance and quality targets 
  • Provide technical support in the management of personal injury claims ensuring compliance with legislative frameworks and best-practice claims strategies. 
  • Manage workflow and claims allocation to ensure efficient and effective outcomes 
  • Provide ongoing feedback mentoring and support to team members to encourage continuous improvement and professional growth 
  • Oversee quality control processes and ensure compliance with client guidelines and relevant frameworks 
  • Serve as a key escalation point for complex or sensitive claims matters customer complaints and client enquiries and feedback ensuring timely resolution and effective stakeholder communication 
  • Draft project updates and communications and support with budget preparation. 
  • Collaborate with senior management to support a high-performing and inclusive culture 
  • Support program delivery and contribute to innovation and process improvement including updating and maintaining training and resource documentation 
  • Facilitate the induction and onboarding of new team members and assist in recruitment activities 

 

Your Experience

 

  • Proven experience in team leadership or supervisory roles within a personal injury claims environment (i.e. Life and group insurance workers compensation or transport accident schemes)  
  • Strong understanding of claims management principles ideally with claims management experience in workers compensation.   
  • Demonstrated ability to manage performance drive KPIs and support staff development. 
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills with a solution-focused approach to decision-making 
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and positive team culture in fast-paced environments 
  • Experience with workflow management and stakeholder engagement 
  • Attention to detail and strong written communication skills with the ability to craft clear concise and well-structured communications. 
  • A level of financial acumen 

Qualifications :

A relevant tertiary qualification in a related discipline such as commerce law allied health or occupational rehabilitation is desirable but not required
