You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailAn exciting opportunity presents as Epworth Geelong seeks a Nurse Practitioner to support our Oncology services. This role will complement excellence in patient-centred care in the Oncology ward and day unit working closely with our medical nursing and broader multidisciplinary and leadership teams.
The Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with the medical and nursing team to provide holistic care and coordination for patients and their families. This includes patient assessment diagnosis treatment and prescription of medications all within scope of practice of the Nurse Practitioner.
The Nurse Practitioner role is pivotal in the coordination and management of the physical and psychosocial needs of patients with cancer and their families who are undergoing inpatient and outpatient treatment at Epworth HealthCare.
Whilst being autonomous the Oncology Nurse Practitioner shall be aware of their scope of practice and work collaboratively in an advanced and extended clinical role and will have an important educational role within the inter-disciplinary teams.
The role will contribute to ongoing service improvement through clinical and workforce innovation to provide high quality and accessible cancer care for the community.
