Position Summary
Responsible for assisting the Head Coach in the management and administration of the Mens and Womens Tennis intercollegiate sports program.
Duties/Responsibilities
(70%)
Coach practice sessions and workouts. Assist with coaching responsibilities during athletic events.
Attend coaches preparatory meetings and implement strategies resulting from these meetings.
Ensure students have a comprehensive and functional knowledge of the sport and maintain thorough and continual familiarity with all applicable University OVC and NCAA rules and regulations.

Assist student-athletes in the implementation of their academic program including the monitoring of individual student-athlete progress to ensure academic eligibility the enforcement of study and tutorial programs and the referral of student-athletes to appropriate University academic resource personnel.
Work with student-athletes and monitor adherence to rules and regulations for conduct appearance and behavior.

Scout for and recruit quality student-athletes and coordinate recruiting activities with the Head Coach.
(5%)
Work closely with athletic training staff and Team Physician to provide for the safety and health of student-athletes.
Participate in the Universitys public relations activities including print television and radio interviews and news conferences.
Participate in annual continuing education as required by the NCAA Conference and/or Institution is required.
Adhering to all NCAA Conference and Institutional rules and regulations is required at all times. All violations must be reported to the Senior Associate Director of Athletics Director of Compliance or their designee immediately.
Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
