Job Description
POSITION: Youth Sports Coach
TERM: One year position for the 2025-2026 school year with the possibility to advance to Youth Sports Director in 2026-2027
WAGE:$1000 Stipend per sport ($1000 for Volleyball and $1000 for Basketball) for 25-26 SY negotiated for future school years.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma
- Previous coaching experience preferred
- A commitment to provide student athletes with a positive sports experience
- Must have positive energy and a love of working with students thatexhibita variety of skills and behaviors
- Availability to work after school hours and evenings
- Strong organizational skills
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for teaching fundamental skills in volleyball and basketball for Grades1-6
- Responsiblefor organizing and leading after school practices 2 times a week September-February
- Work in collaboration with the Youth Director and High School Coaches
- Will be available during Greater KalamazooYouth League games.
- Will participate in Youth Volleyball Basketball nights at the High School games
- Effectively communicate with parents
