Job Description

In Wilhelmsen Port Services we provide our customers with peace of mind while we handle their cargo their vessels and their crew. We handle 75000 port calls per year which means that every 7 minutes anywhere around the world we send a ship safely out to sea again to fulfil its purpose. We match local expertise with strict global standards making sure we consistently make our customers port calls as efficient and safe as possible.

Who we are looking for:
We are looking for aHUB Agent to manage customers requirements according to the established Hub Agreement and to monitor customer service needs follow up port calls and provide support to our customer.

What you will work on:

  • Coordinate all Hub Agreement related jobs.

  • Ensure that all appointments are handled without delay and assigned to appointed agent.

  • Monitor the execution of the port call and work closely with appointed agent and customers contracted vendors to ensure that we meet the customers expectations.

  • Actively follow up the relevant local port agents for operational and DA requirements.

  • Provide ships agency support and advice to customers Hub team and Sales.

  • Assist and support the WPS network on administrative technical and commercial issues.

  • Engage actively in finding solutions to customers challenges.

  • Register and maintain agency agreement information into the IT systems available.

  • Report and take corrective action to the Hub Agency Manager to ensure sales budgets are achieved and contractual obligations are fulfilled.

  • Gather information required to help investigation and resolution in Final DA Settlement disputes.

What you bring:

  • Formal education in business administration or at least 2 years relevant work experience in Port operations / agency business.

  • Experience from ships agency operational work or other relevant shipping experience in Port Operations / agency business.

  • Fluent English both in writing and speaking.

  • Ability to work independently and systematically.

  • Able to meet deadlines through good time management and allocation of priorities.

  • Computer literate
